Computerized Maintenance Management System

The CMMS is specifically designed to manage O&M issues by providing automated computerized tools for scheduling, tracking and monitoring important aspects of the O&M process. In addition, the CMMS will provide means for the Maintenance Department to forecast future-operating costs to support long-range facilities plans. GOAA contracted Paredes Design Consultants to outline a three-phased approach to implementing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). The CMMS is based on the ARCHIBUS/FM software products, existing computer infrastructure at GOAA and a streamlined business process. Paredes Design Consultant’s scope of work included the implementation of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) utilizing Archibus/FM Building Operations Management software. This software is specifically designed to manage building operations issues by providing automated tools for monitoring maintenance repairs jobs, scheduling trade shops and outside contractors to perform maintenance jobs, budgeting costs, and analyzing all aspects of the airport’s facilities and assets, the building operation management team will have easy access to information critical to streamline their work efforts thereby reducing overall operation costs.
